Evangelical and thus it is notAn interesting fictional narrative apparently attempting to help expose existing bias against black Americans, in this case, police bias. Though the purpose of the text is a bit confused. In the story, a "negress" is discovered taking care of a white child in a seedy section of the city of New York. The immediate assumption is that she had kidnapped the child and is falsely accused. This seems to be cast negatively. Yet, the child goes on to be
